The Biggest HVAC Rebates We've Ever Seen
British Columbia is investing hundreds of millions of dollars to help homeowners upgrade to cleaner, more efficient heating and cooling systems. Between CleanBC, FortisBC, BC Hydro, and federal programs, qualifying Fraser Valley homeowners can stack multiple rebates on a single project, turning what used to be a major expense into one of the smartest investments you can make in your home.
Depending on your home, your income level, and the equipment you're upgrading, you could qualify for rebates on heat pumps, high-efficiency furnaces, heat pump water heaters, and dual fuel systems. Some income-qualified households in BC can even receive a new heat pump at little to no cost out of pocket.
As a registered contractor with the Home Performance Contractor Network, we know these programs inside and out. We'll walk you through what you're eligible for, pre-register your project for the required Eligibility Code, and handle every piece of the rebate paperwork, so you just see the savings come off your final invoice.

How Rebate Stacking Works
Many BC rebate programs can be combined on a single project, meaning you can claim rebates from multiple sources for the same heat pump, water heater, or dual fuel system install. Here's how the math actually works in practice.
Identify Eligible Programs
We review your home, equipment, fuel source, and income situation to determine which rebate programs you qualify for.
Pre-Register & Apply
For each eligible program, we handle the pre-registration, Eligibility Codes, and application paperwork on your behalf.
Stack the Savings
Multiple rebates combine on a single project, you see the total savings deducted directly from your final invoice.

See What You Qualify For
You Get the Rebate. We Handle the Paperwork.
Rebate applications are full of eligibility codes, pre-registration requirements, heat load calculations, contractor registrations, and deadlines. One missing piece and your entire rebate could be denied. As a registered member of the Home Performance Contractor Network and an authorized CleanBC and FortisBC contractor, we handle all of it for you.
Pre-Registration Handled
We submit your Eligibility Code application before any work starts, so you never risk disqualification from a timing mistake.
Heat Load Calculations Included
Whole-home rebates require a program-approved heat load calculation. We run it as part of your install, no extra fees, no delays.
Application Filed for You
Once the work is complete, we submit the rebate application directly to the program administrators with all required documentation.
Savings Deducted From Your Invoice
Most programs let us apply the rebate amount directly to your final invoice, so you pay less upfront rather than waiting months for a cheque in the mail. You see the full savings reflected before you pay, making the entire upgrade significantly more affordable from day one. No delays, no uncertainty, just real savings applied where it counts.
Free consultations. No obligation. We'll tell you exactly what you qualify for.
The $16,000 CleanBC Better Homes rebate is available to income-qualified households, generally families earning below a certain annual income threshold based on household size. Not every homeowner qualifies for this specific rebate, but there are several other programs (FortisBC, BC Hydro) available to higher-income households. We'll review your situation during a free consultation and let you know exactly what you qualify for.
Most BC rebate programs require you to pre-register your project and receive an Eligibility Code BEFORE any work begins. If you install the equipment first and try to apply for the rebate afterwards, your application will be automatically denied. This is one of the most common reasons homeowners lose out on rebate money. As a registered contractor, we handle pre-registration for you as part of our normal process.
No. That's the best part. As a registered member of the Home Performance Contractor Network and an authorized CleanBC and FortisBC contractor, we handle the entire rebate application on your behalf. In most cases, we can apply the rebate amount directly to your final invoice, so you pay less upfront rather than waiting months for a cheque.
Yes, and you should. CleanBC, BC Hydro, FortisBC, and federal programs are operated independently, which means you can often claim from multiple programs for the same install. A single heat pump installation can stack rebates from three or more programs, depending on your eligibility. We figure out exactly which programs apply to you and stack every rebate you qualify for.
The rules for switching from natural gas, oil, or propane to an all-electric heat pump changed in April 2025. The main non-income-qualified rebates for this specific switch ended on that date, though income-qualified households can still access substantial rebates. If you have a quote dated before April 11, 2025, you may still qualify. For current non-qualifying gas-to-electric conversions, dual fuel systems (heat pump + gas furnace combined) are now the rebate-eligible path and come with a $5,000 FortisBC rebate.
When we can apply the rebate directly to your invoice, you see the savings immediately, no waiting. For rebates that are processed after installation, most programs take up to 90 days from application submission to approval. We submit your application as soon as the job is complete, so you're in the queue right away.
Generally, rebates apply to high-efficiency equipment that meets specific performance criteria, things like variable-speed compressors, minimum heating capacity, and AHRI-certified systems. We only quote equipment that's on the current rebate-eligible product lists, so you never have to worry about buying something that won't qualify. If you're curious about a specific brand or model, just ask during your consultation.
Yes. FortisBC and BC Hydro offer commercial and multi-unit residential building rebates for high-efficiency heat pumps, water heaters, and HVAC upgrades. The rebate amounts and eligibility criteria are different from residential programs. If you're a business owner, strata council, or property manager, we'd be happy to walk you through what's available for your property.
